Research Interests

Remotes Sensing Hydrology, Satellite Remote Sensing and GIS for geo-resource evaluation, sea level rise analysis, natural resources and mineral exploration, land cover changes, fractal geometry and carbon influx.

Synergistic Activities

I have my Ph.D. degree in Geoinformatics major: My research area is remote sensing hydrology and GIS applications. I am interested to apply the remote sensing, geospatial modeling, and fractal geometry to understand and evaluate the climate-water nexus and their influence on water resources, carbon influx/gross primary production (GPP), land covers and risk assessments. My research is interdisciplinary, and dedicated to help people with no access to ground observations to have better understanding and planning about the available resources based on reliable expectations and forecasts. My current Ph.D. research study focuses on the multisensory and reanalysis inputs on transboundary river basins, I am currently studying the Nile River Basin (NRB), Africa. I am interested to model and understand the Terrestrial Water Storage (TWS) and its application in regional drought/flood monitoring. I have a wide experience in remote sensing, geospatial modeling, geostatistical analysis, and image/geophysical data processing.
