The HyDROS Laboratory is located in the National Weather Center in Norman, Oklahoma. The National Weather Center was opened in 2006 as a joint collaboration between the University of Oklahoma and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The National Weather Center features 244,000 square feet of space across 5 floors and an enclosed weather observation deck. The HyDROS Lab is located on the east wings of the 3rd and 4th floors of the building.
The center houses about 550 people including research scientists, operational meteorologists and climatologists, engineers and technicians, support staff, and graduate and undergraduate students.
