I show you how to make zero clearance blade inserts to get clean cuts without tear-out. These inserts work with a modified splitter for full protection against kick-back. The factory blade guard/splitter prevented me from using my cross-cut sled and tenoning jig, so I hardly used it. The wide gap on the factory table inserts for my dado stack and thin kerf blades resulted in a lot of tear-out on my cuts. Now I get clean cuts in veneered plywood with improved safety for all cutting operations.
