In this episode, I respond to recent research indicating there may be a role for Hemp CBD oil in the treatment of inflammation. This has implications for the management of conditions in which inflammation is often a contributing factor, such as Alzheimer's, depression, and chronic pain. Throughout this episode, I use the term "hemp" to refer to non-psychoactive strains of cannabis and the term "marijuana" to refer to psychoactive strains of cannabis. However, some people in the cannabis community feel the term "marijuana" is pejorative and have asked me not to use it. They prefer the general scientific term "cannabis", even though this term fails to distinguish between psychoactive and non-psychoactive strains. For clarity then, the preferred terminology is now Cannabis vs. Hemp CBD. The marketplace has adopted this convention and I will too. Bottom line, if you want to avoid psychoactive compounds like THC, just shop for Hemp CBD. Confusion over. Thank you for your feedback. P.S.
